Set in the same universe as Choose Your Hero, this PPT will help introduce your students to the 'Level Up' game (also known as Evolution), which will let them wander the classroom, mingle with other students, and play a game (all while encouraging them to practice the lesson content you choose to incorporate into the activity!).
The game rules are simple: students act like a super hero (to show other students what level they are); pair off with another student at their own level; practice the dialogue or expressions you want them to learn; play rock-paper-scissors to see who will level up; then repeat until they get to the highest level and play rock-paper-scissors against the teacher to win the game.
The original version of this concept that I played had students 'evolving' from a cockroach (!) all the way to a human (!), but eschewing evolution for super heroes, students hold out their hand like the electric Zappy for level 1, fold their hands like mystical Arcana for level 2, flex like the bestial Snowfist for level 3, and hold out one arm like the shield-bearing Stellara for level 4.
Encourage your students to practice the target language, interact with one another socially, and let themselves be silly all at the same time.
